First Task
A downloadable game for Windows
First Task
First Task is a psychological horror game where you find yourself navigating an unsettling job interview at a mysterious company. What starts as a routine assessment slowly descends into bizarre and disturbing tests, as you are confronted with strange tasks that challenge your logic, morality, and sanity.
Stages of the Interview
The interview consists of multiple stages:
- Stage 1: Standard logical puzzles and quick decision-making tasks.
- Stage 2: Ethical dilemmas, pushing you to answer morally complex questions.
- Stage 3: Psychological pressure tests that delve into your darkest fears.
Handling Dangerous Anomalies
As you progress, you'll be introduced to a world of deadly anomalies that the company works with. You will encounter internal divisions responsible for managing these threats:
- SAC: Safe Anomaly Containment.
- LAN: Lifeless Anomaly Neutralization.
- DAM: Dangerous Anomaly Management.
Incident Reports
Throughout the interview, you'll be exposed to records of tragic incidents involving previous employees. These include:
- Mental breakdowns caused by exposure to psychoactive anomalies.
- Fatal attacks by aggressive entities during experiments.
- Severe injuries from anomalous energy and substances.
Final Instructions
After successfully completing the interview, you’ll be briefed on the company's rules for handling anomalous objects. Gather your belongings and prepare for extraction — but remember, surviving this place is just the beginning.

Fun game that plays into the scary psychology of working a 9-5 for the SCP haha. Great jumpscares, good vibes, and the distant nature of the games meaning plays well into scp and backrooms type lore.
I give more in depth feedback in my video below, and if you want you can vote for your game on my channel to move forward in the bracket for best indie horror game of january- I'll be printing a monster or scene from the winners game, and printing your jumpscare would be hilarious and fun.
Hey Exlipse,
I couldn't find your channel on youtube but wanted to let you know that your game advanced to round 2 for my competition of best indie horror games in january. You or friends can vote on my YT community page. I did accidentally title it FIND JOB instead of FIRST TASK, apologies.
